Come Hunt with Us
A&E Vela Ranch has established an extensive game management program that includes supplemental nutrition to maximize the antler potential of the animals, as well as extensive scouting program using game cameras and time spent in the blinds during the offseason. Using the knowledge gained from our scouting program, we are able to establish realistic quantities and qualities of the herd and ensure to limit and book our hunters accordingly. These efforts have allowed hunters to have a 100% success rate of having an opportunity on their targeted/contracted animal over the last 5 years. If for some reason an opportunity does not present for the targeted/contracted animal, the hunter will either be given another 2 day hunt or credited for next year.

All hunts at A&E Vela Ranch are all inclusive and include the following:

3 day, 2 night fully 1 to 1 guided hunts

How to book your hunt and A&E Vela Ranch policies
-
$2,000 deposit per hunt is due in order to secure hunt (applied to trophy upon harvest)
-
Hunters must sign a waiver and release of liability agreement upon arrival at A&E Vela Ranch
-
If hunter shoots and draws either blood or hair (i.e. wounded animal), the hunter will be charged the full trophy fee for the contracted animal. Every effort will be made by A&E Vela Ranch to retrieve the trophy.
-
Hunters must pay the entire balance upon harvesting trophy prior to departing the ranch
-
A&E Vela Ranch has a trespass fee of $500 per day to cover guides, food, and lodging at the ranch. This trespass fee ONLY applies if the hunter decides NOT to harvest an animal. The trespass fee will be deducted from the initial $2,000 deposit. For example, a hunter comes to A&E Vela Ranch for a 190-200 B&C whitetail deer in which the target animal is seen and has a reasonable shot opportunity, but the hunter decides he/she no longer wants to harvest the animal. If the hunter stays three days, the hunter will be charged $1,500 and this amount will be deducted from $2,000 deposit and issued a $500 refund.
